Bartush Land & Cattle Co.

Since1989, the BLCC Corporation has collaborated with the Noble Foundation to establish a formal wildlife management program focused on white-tailed deer. Together with the Texas Parks and Wildlife, BLCC was soon a charter member of the newly created managed lands program (MLDP). Being the first ranch in Cooke County to pursue this program has enabled a foundation of sound wildlife management. Through careful management practices, the BLCC has successfully produced an average harvest of 30 deer annually. We offer deer hunting during the expanded MLDP October through February season. The program has been successful over the years producing many trophy bucks scoring well over 130 points on the Boone and Crockett scoring system. In 2006, the ranch was selected to participate in the Big Time Texas Hunt - Whitetail Bonanza. Though deer hunting on the ranch begins in October and lasts to the end of February, our traditional season from November through December is the most productive period.
